The Model 1106 "Heldenhorn" is Gebr. Alexander's newest F/Bb double horn. It is built on the Model 1103 K, with the same body and the same leadpipe and bell taper, but with a redesigned F horn: the tight bends of the 1103 are opened out into one sweeping bend that leaves the valve block and runs in an open, Geyer-style wrap along the body.
It is made in yellow brass with a detachable bell and a hand-hammered spout, for excellent carrying power and the typical Alexander sound.
